Brief: To recreate a short clip of an existing film with as similar visuals, sound as possible.
Our group of 5 people chose to do the end scene of "Brokeback Mountain" 2005. I was in charge of art direction as I really enjoy making props and set design, however there were many challenges including a 2 week deadline and a minimal budget (~£5 per person).
Behind the Scenes
As art director, there was a lot of pre-production preparation, including making a list of all the resources we required, then finding these for free, making them or buying them. As an engineer, I also used my 3D modelling skills to plan the set design before sourcing some spare correx board from university to make the fake walls.
