Brief: To create a minute length video showing a cut-on-action edit.
I chose to film this short clip of my mum making dumplings as it was a natural and fluent action of her to do but also I could really express the feelings of warmth and homeliness in the cinematography.
Behind The Scenes
This was a quick turn around, with planning, shooting and editing done in less than 2 weeks. I particularly enjoyed experimenting with lighting, as this was one of my first assignments with creative freedom. I did not have access to camera lighting, so I used warm lamps and the under-cabinet lighting with warm light gels.
