Brief: Collaborate with dance students to create a short film.
As a group of five we wanted to focus on bringing out the individual styles and personalities of two dancers, Jada and Teshawna in an interview/performance film.
Behind the Scenes
As the cinematographer, I worked very closely with the director, to understand how the camera and lighting setup could match the performance of the two dancers and also the backing track.
We set up tracks for dollying the camera in two paths (curved and straight), as well as using shoulder mounts and gimbals for more dynamic shots.
